Neck Pain Relief
I started seeing Dr. Hoch a few months ago after I woke up one morning with a painful stiff neck. I could barely move my head and it continued to get worse throughout the day. I would have to say the pain for me was worse than labor. I took some pain relievers but still made an appointment to see Dr. Hoch at the Natural Health and Wellness Center the next day. She examined me, took some x-rays and reviewed the results. She recommended a treatment plan beginning with electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound therapy and my first ever chiropractic adjustment. The following day I felt so much better and kept improving daily. I am a massage therapist and was concerned about my ability to work on my clients, but within a week, I was back to massage. For me, one of the benefits of my chiropractic care has been seeing first hand how chiropractic and massage can go hand in hand. Four Back Surgeries and Still Walking Tall, Thanks to Chiropractic!
When I was 16, I was in a terrible car accident which resulted in back surgery. The doctor removed my L1 and L2 vertebrae and did not replace them with anything. Then one day I slipped down a flight of stairs and my spine collapsed 90 degrees. As a result, I needed three more surgeries. I was fortunate enough to find a doctor who got me through three successful surgeries without being paralyzed. I now have plates, screws and bone grafting keeping my spine together. My first chiropractic experience came when I was at a friend’s house and I asked them for something to help my headache. Her husband was a chiropractor and asked me to sit down in a chair. He said that he wanted to try something first and he adjusted my neck. 15 minutes later, my headache was gone. I always thought I was so fragile I would "break in half" if I went to a chiropractor. I got over the fear when Dr. Christine Hoch took my X-rays and assured me I would be fine. Both my sons see Dr. Hoch for adjustments. My older son plays basketball and football and he comes weekly. Chiropractic Cured Health Isses I Did Not Think Possible
As long as I can remember I had varying degrees of pain in my lower back. After having two kids, I also began having pain in my left foot. I didn’t really take action until I began loosing sleep at night. My coworker was seeing Dr. Christine Hoch at the Natural Health & Wellness Center and recommended I make and appointment. During my initial evaluation, I didn’t realize the number of health issues I had to complain about. I was also having daily tension headaches and incapacitating menstrual cycles. After a couple weeks of Dr. Hoch’s adjustments and prescribed stretching exercises, my overall feelings of discomfort changed. I was able to better pinpoint specific areas. My pain levels went from uncomfortable to manageable. Dr. Hoch educated me on how to read my body signals and I began to notice how my daily activities triggered the onset of my back pain. Now, the constant discomfort in my lower back is almost gone. I am completely free of my foot pain, headaches and, believe it or not, the horrible menstrual pain and cramping - all without medication! After 26 Years of Smoking, Acupuncture Helped Me Quit
I was referred to Dr. Christine Hoch at the Natural Health & Wellness Center by a friend after complaining about back pain and a stiff neck. During my initial consultation, Dr. Hoch and I also discussed my bigger issue…smoking. Just a few weeks into my back treatments I was starting to feel wonderful, walking taller and sleeping better. Dr. Hoch kept talking to me about quitting. I had good reasons to quit, my mother passed away at 46 from breast cancer and she was a smoker. I want to see my kids and grandkids grow up and most importantly, I had to do it for me. I’d smoked for 26 years and was feeling the effects. In November, Dr. Hoch started my acupuncture treatments. I was a nervous wreck about the needles, but I didn’t even feel them. I still had a few cravings, but I chewed gum and kept myself busy. I kept thinking of why I was doing this. I broke down and have a few puffs over that weekend, but as I continued treatments, it really helped with the cravings. Eventually I didn’t even want a cigarette. I’m finished with my treatments (I only had four) and I now am a non-smoker. I feel wonderful - no cough, no smelly clothes and I can walk up the stairs without being out of breath. Dr. Hoch and her caring staff supported me through this and have given me a new lease on life. Pain-Free & I Need Fewer Medications
I was referred to Dr. Christine Hoch at the Natural Health and Wellness Center by a client of my daughter’s veterinary clinic. I was experiencing severe pain in my neck, upper back, shoulder and arm. I sought medical advice and was prescribed various drugs, but the pain was still intense and I often had trouble sleeping. It was limiting my lifestyle. Dr. Hoch gave me a complete physical exam and evaluated my posture and muscle and foot balance. She designed a special plan for my care that included spinal adjustments to balance and straighten my spine and custom orthotics to support and balance my feet. I experienced nearly complete relief about six weeks into my care and total resolution of my shoulder pain at 3-4 months. As I progressed, I noted my knee, ankle and heel pain had also nearly subsided. With regular chiropractic adjustments, I have improved my overall health. Also, I am diabetic and although I admittedly haven’t made all the dietary changes Dr. Hoch recommended, my blood sugar levels continue to decline from regular adjustments. I’ve been able to cut down on the amount of diabetic medication I once needed. Chiropractic Care Ended My Severe Headache Pain
I accidentally gave myself a concussion one rainy day. For weeks afterward, I experienced severe headaches and dizziness. The pain was 9 on a scale of 10. After a month with no relief, I decided to see Dr. Christine Hoch at the Natural Health & Wellness Center. I was hesitant at first because I have heard “stories” about chiropractic. However, my first visit was fantastic! The office was very clean and the staff was friendly. Dr. Hoch recommended EMS and ultrasound therapy along with adjustments. All I can say is that after ONE treatment I felt like a MILLION bucks! The dizziness and headache pain went away. I couldn’t believe after only one treatment I felt so good. I was miserable for so long and I finally felt like myself. I have told everyone about chiropractic and now even my husband and mom are seeing Dr. Hoch!

Having studied holistic nutrition and natural medicine, I was looking for a holistic approach to my family’s general health and wellness.
